Little, having already confessed to the crime, pleaded guilty and was again sentenced to life in prison.
He was then indicted in 2018 and brought to Ector County to stand trial in the case. Little later confessed to the murder of Denise Brothers in 1994. Now, investigators needed to connect the dots.Īfter Little’s DNA matched him to California, the Texas Ranger also matched it to a case in Odessa, according to the report. In total, officials say Little confessed to 90 murders throughout the country. In some cases, Little was even able to remember where he was, what car he was driving and even drew the victims in great detail, according to the report. Officials say Little went city by city, state by state and gave the Texas Ranger very specific details on each case. Little wanted to move prisons and told the Ranger and FBI investigator that he would exchange information, if that were possible.Īs it turned out, Little was a wealth of information on several open investigations in Texas, Arizona, Washington, Georgia and more. What investigators didn’t know at the time, this was just the tip of the iceberg and the beginning of a long road.Ī Texas Ranger then got involved in the case and traveled to California with an FBI investigator to begin interviewing Little on other cases out of West Texas.ĭuring the interview, Little was eager to make a deal, according to the FBI. Ultimately Little was convicted in all three cases and was sentenced to life in prison. Investigators in these cold cases caught a break when Little was arrested in a homeless shelter in Kentucky back in 2012.įBI officials say his DNA matched three homicide victims in Los Angeles and he was transported to California to face charges.
